Doing The Right Thing

I have been working with a family of feral dogs in recent days.  It seems they are living in abandoned
housing which is scheduled to be torn down.

Initially, I was working with the dogs, attempting to overcome their
distrust of the entire human race.
And that distrust runs deep.
Papa Dog sees no benefit in having anything to do with people.  He feels they are very happy with the
way things are and doesn’t see any reason to change.
Mama dog does seem to have some distant memory of happier times with
humans.  So the question became,
what is the right thing to do for this little family?

Last evening, I was working with Mama to balance her chakras.  They were entirely closed down but
after crystal work and reiki, her chakras were at least allowing for some energy
flow.  I was also communicating
that there were people there that wished to help them and Mama had an
interesting (and thought provoking) question: “How would I know if they are here to
help me or hurt me?”  And, you
know, I didn’t have a good answer for her.  Which led me to question my own
motives.  It was me (and probably
everyone that loves animals) that wanted them rescued.
But in understanding that we all are put on this Earth for a reason, it
stands to reason that the dogs are in their current situation for a reason
also.

Perhaps they are here to learn a lesson or maybe they are here to
facilitate learning for the human race.
I suppose it is not really up to us to decide what is right or wrong,
even thought with every fiber of my being, I want these dogs to be safe, happy
and loved.

Perhaps the best any of us can do is to pray for the greatest and
highest good for the canine family and that it be realized in the gentlest way
possible, surrounding them with Love, Light and Prayers.......
