Frequently Asked Questions
Some questions I often get asked about animal communication sessions include the following:
How do I schedule a session?
Please use the contact form found on this site to schedule a phone consultation. We’ll set up a convenient time and you will call in for a three-way conversation between your animal, you and me.
How long do consultations last?
You have a choice of session times from 15 minutes for 1 animal, 30 minutes for 1 or 2 animals, 45 minutes for 2 animals or 60 minutes for 3 to 4 animals. A lot depends on the animal and the reason for the consultation. It is possible to spend 60 minutes with 1 animal when working through in-depth issues.
Will I be able to tell when you are talking to my pet?
It depends on your animal. Sometimes they will gaze quietly at you, sometimes they will fall asleep or become excited when talking about something important to them. They can also seem to be focused inwardly, as if listening to unheard voices.
Can you communicate with any species?
Yes, as long as the animal is willing. I have spoken with such diverse lifeforms as insects, snakes, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, camels in Egypt, hamsters, chickens, all types of birds, horses, donkeys and mules, just to name a few.
Can animal communication help with fear/behavior issues, especially if abused?
A large part of communicating can be counseling an animal regarding life traumas. It could be abuse, loss of a loved one, poor socialization or any number of other issues. With compassionate, heart-to-heart communication, the animal can often be helped to deal with fear or behavioral issues. It will also give you insights into the reason for the animal’s behavior.
Can you convince an animal to stop a behavior?
Animals, like humans, have the ability to make choices. Sometimes behavior becomes ingrained; i.e. a habit or perhaps the behavior makes perfect sense to the animal and therefore, in the animals opinion, wouldn’t need to be changed. Whatever the outcome, you will gain deeper insight into your pet’s thinking.
What can be done to help sick or dying pets?
Animals that are ill or close to transitioning can benefit from a session to make their wishes known, to tie up loose ends, to say good-bye. These consultations are some of the most rewarding to experience as the animals share so many enlightening thoughts on their views of life in the here and hereafter.
Is it possible to communicate with deceased animals?
Yes, it is much easier to connect with transitioned animals as they have no physical distractions.
How do I prepare for a consultation?
Prior to calling in, please be sure your animal is fed, watered, had a potty break and is resting quietly. This is in order that your pet will not be distracted with physical concerns and able to be fully focused during the session. It will also be beneficial for you to prepare a list of questions that you would like to ask your pet. This ensures that all your concerns will be addressed.
Can I learn to communicate with my own animal?
Yes, I feel all humans are born with that special connection to the natural world, but we lose that awareness of it as we grow into adulthood. My workshops help you to re-awaken that dormant ability to communicate with your animal friends. For a complete listing of workshops, please visit my Events page. If you would like to sponsor a workshop, please email me via the Contact Form on this site.
